Constructed Wetlands

Projects Established at Queen's University

In 2016 a new collaboration was established with Dr. Valeria Ochoa from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador) to explore the implementation of low-energy eco-engineered technologies for wastewater treatment in remote or isolated communities in developing countries. Development of these passive and semi-passive technologies is of great interest to the WHO and UNESCO and other organizations aiming to protect water resources in developing countries.
