Hydrotechnical

Hydrotechnical engineering focuses on the study of liquids and designing applications to store, control, and transport water throughout the world. Examples of Hydrotechnical engineering in the real world include the design and construction of dams, basins, levees, water distribution networks and sewer systems.

 

Interdisciplinary research projects are conducted with faculty in other areas of civil engineering (environmental, geotechnical and structural), other departments at Queen's (Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics and Statistics) and other research institutes (National Water Research Institute and National Research Council).
